One day, during a much needed catch up amongst balancing our busy lives of careers and families, we found ourselves wanting a drink that would give us a natural boost. That is when we came up with a simple yet powerful idea: why not create something that not only energises us but also nourishes our bodies.
We realised that none of us were taking collagen, despite knowing how important it is for anyone above the age of 30. We discussed the expensive powders that were bought with good intentions but smoothie and shake making never became part of our busy daily routines! All of us had numerous bottles of vitamins and supplements gathering dust. The penny dropped and GEN Collagen was born. We wanted taking vitamins and supplements to be something that people can look forward to every day instead of it being a chore.
We created GEN Collagen – a delicious and convenient way to support our health and wellbeing from the inside out. Collagen is an integral aspect of maintaining skin, nails, hair and gut health. We wanted everyone to have a daily pick up and go can to obtain your daily collagen intake in flavours that really appealed to us.
We also wanted to take our drink one step further and incorporate more goodness into our convenient cans. Having experience working across a diverse range of industries including Technology, Retail and Medicine we carried out our own research into what we needed and came up with gut health, hydration and natural energy as integral daily needs. We also learnt to incorporate vitamin C in our drinks to ensure natural immunity and the effective absorption of collagen. Lastly, we wanted the best collagen and so we went for 8 grams of marine collagen which has the best absorption and bioavailability. We wanted to make the best drink for us and to share it with you!
